Situated in the centre of Florence, our Air BnB was approximately a 15minute walk from the main train station; Firenze Santa Maria Novella; and 10 minutes from the Duomo and main historical area. We specifically looked for a ground floor, or all one floor space, ideally with a terrace or garden and this Air BnB did not disappoint.
It was gorgeous!
Clearly designed by an artist or creative, it was visually stunning with beautiful artwork on the walls, high ceilings, perfect lighting and a tree in the main living area. (We did have to move some of the more breakable items from within toddler reach)
It was beautifully appointed with a main living area containing the kitchen, dining area, seating and access to the garden. Following though there was a small TV room with a sofa followed by a double bedroom and then bathroom. There was air con throughout and the host put a travel cot up for us complete with bedding. Handily there was also a washing machine which was invaluable to battle all those toddler pasta stains.
When we travelled to Florence, the temperature was about 30c but the apartment stayed lovely and cool throughout the day compared to outside which was perfect with a toddler. The high wooden ceilings and thick walls in the main living area really helped to keep the space a perfect temperature.
I'm always hoping for a wow when I book an Air BnB and this one did not disappoint. It was beautifully appointed, the host was really easy to get hold of, easy to access with a pushchair and perfectly located for exploring Florence but also easy to pop back too for nap time or when it was just too hot outside.
